Ecological CommunitiesWelcome to the Ecological Community Homepage. This part of the website introduces you to the concept of Ecological Communities and why they are important. It also provides you with details about their management, identification, regulatory requirements, and provides further reading to broaden your scope of knowledge when dealing with Threatened Ecological Communities. Coastal Floodplain EECsOn the coastal floodplain of NSW, all the remaining native vegetation has been identified to be threatened and each distinct ecological community has been listed as endangered under the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995. To help with your understanding of where to find these Coastal Floodplain Endangered Ecological Communities (EEC), DECC has produced Identification Guidelines and an Indicative Coastal Floodplain Map Series, showing the indicative location of the Coastal Floodplain.
